Lifting a small bottle above the head

This activity is good for training shoulder muscle strength and endurance as well as the ability to hold the trunk and head steady when moving the arms.

Exercise instructions 

Holding small bottle.jpgSit at a table holding  the water bottle 3/4 filled with water in the right hand.

Lift the bottle and put it on top of the  head.

small bottle high.jpgStraighten your arm and lift the bottle high up above your head.

Put the bottle back down on the table.
 

How many times

Do this action 10-15 times.  Repeat after a short break.

Repeat with the left arm.
